The UPEC certificate is an assessment label used to classify a floor’s resistance to various stresses, such as wear, weight, water, and chemicals. The GUT certification, recognized in Germany, bestows a quality mark on textile floorings that meet specific sustainability and environmental protection standards. The EN 45545-2:2020 standard sets requirements for the fire reaction of materials and components used in the interior of trains. The primary purpose of this standard is to reduce the heat, smoke, and toxicity generated by materials in case of a fire, introducing stricter standards to ensure greater safety for passengers in railway vehicles, through the HL classification and specific tests to assess the reaction of certain materials to fire.
