A design narrative that brings together material, colour, volume and visual perception. On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2026, within an installation developed in collaboration with Zambaiti Parati, we will present Pigments, the new textile collection designed by Marco Piva. At the heart of FRAMES, the installation conceived by Studio Marco Piva, the collections of the two companies will be on display from April 20 to 26 at Corso Garibaldi 17. Two complementary narratives, united by a shared design vision. The dialogue between these two languages creates an immersive environment where surfaces, colours and textures meet in a sequence of frames, like images suspended in time.

Pigments is a printed collection that explores colour as a living material: layered tones, overlaps and different gestures become a language of their own, transforming pigment into a graphic trace. Blots, veils, dots and interlacings unfold across the surface like designs suspended between expressive freedom and ordered composition. Each pattern emerges from the encounter between marks and colours that blend together, giving the textile surface rhythm, depth and vibration.

Invito FRAMES radici carpet zambaiti parati, Marco Piva Fuorisalone Milano Design Week

“With the new collections Pigments for Radici and Orizzonti Sospesi for Zambaiti Parati, I wanted to create a dialogue between two distinct languages, two complementary visions of space and material. The inspiration comes from nature and from the gesture of colour: in the wallpapers, the landscape is observed at the moment when the movement of nature seems to hold its breath; in the carpets, by contrast, colour becomes a living gesture, a layering and a rhythm. Both capture a frame, suspending an instant and transforming it into an experience,” says Marco Piva. “Presented together, the surfaces meet without overlapping, blending difference and uniqueness into a single sensory narrative. The stillness of the landscape and the vitality of colour intersect and complete one another, turning FRAMES into a space where light, material and perception engage in dialogue, inviting both the eye and the body to slow down. The installation thus becomes a shared horizon, a place where nature and colour intertwine into an emotional landscape.”
