Villa d'Este

Villa d’Este is considered one of the most beautiful works of architectural art from the 16th century. Designed by Pellegrino Pellegrini, also known as “Il Tibaldi,” a renowned architect of the time, the villa is surrounded by a 10-hectare park with centuries-old plants, where one can admire Pellegrino Pellegrini’s Nymphaeum, the Fountain of Hercules, and the Temple of Telemachus. In its halls, charming works of art are displayed, including some from the French school, others from the Canova school, as well as decorations by Andrea Appiani.
Converted into a luxury hotel in 1873 and voted “best hotel in the world” multiple times, it has maintained the original traditional atmosphere while adding the comfort of luxurious and modern finishes. The precious Abetone Jaquard-woven carpet for the rooms and Axminster for common areas reflects the luxurious taste of Villa d’Este, enhancing its atmosphere.
